We're celebrating the release of Pocket Notes Vol. 1, Issue 2! The night will consist of a video/sound installation, a collective composition with tape recorders, guest reader Amaranth Borsuk (author of Handiwork and Between Page and Screen), and a performance piece by local Pocket Notes contributors.

Doors open at 7:30 and we highly encourage you to arrive on time.

Wine and snacks will be provided. Cash donations appreciated. Come get wine drunk with us and be somebody.

7:30-8 — Two tape recorders will be provided for the attendees to participate in a textural composition. Video/audio installation.

8-8:15 — Nick Sturm, author of the chapbook WHAT A TREMENDOUS TIME WE’RE HAVING!, will read his poems.

8:15-8:45 — Poet/scholar/book artist Amaranth Borsuk will perform from Between Page and Screen. Her work focuses on textual materiality—from the surface of the page to the surface of language.

    9-9:15 — Erasure performance.

9:15-9:45 — "One Stone" segment featuring Pocket Notes contributors Amaranth Borsuk, Donald Dunbar, Gary Wiseman, James Yeary, Jessalyn Wakefield, Jules Boykoff, Kaia Sand, Nick Sturm, and Zachary Schomburg.
